Mid-winter glow in Philadelphia
On Sunday afternoon, January 4, the virtuoso Philadelphia choir known as The Crossing returns for an intriguing winter concert in the acoustically pristine Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill. (Note: this group is overdue for a New York debut.)
Conductor Donald Nally has uncovered yet another trove of off-the-path repertoire including David Lang's I want to live (2008) and two works by Bo Holten, plus pieces by Erhard Karkoschka, Paul Spicer and John Kennedy. For anyone who admires great choral singing, this 20-voice ensemble is about as good as it gets.

Always delighted to hear of fine choral singing, Bruce!
Cheers,
